Research and Development Tax Incentive

The Research and Development (R&D) tax incentive replaced the R&D tax concession from 1st July 2011. It provides targeted R&D tax offsets design to encourage small to medium size companies in R&D competitiveness and improve the Australian productivity economy.

If you are conducting research and development (R&D) activities, you may be eligible to claim an R&D tax offset under the R&D tax incentive.

More information about the Research and Development Tax incentive can be found on the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science website.

Why the R&D Tax Incentive

Supporting industry to conduct R&D that may not otherwise have been conducted.
